Libraries and Digital Learning

Beacon Academy’s libraries are places to read and research, but as digital skills and information literacy overlap, students and teachers become partners in guiding learning. We support students in becoming not just consumers but also producers of information, with the world as their audience. In addition to traditional research papers as part of their academic learning, students are also encouraged to create campaigns, websites, video profiles, performances and online exhibits.

Students can check-out more than 40 MacBooks and iPads from the Library’s Tech Team at their teachers request. Students in Middle School have access to individual iPads during the school day, while Senior School students are expected to have their own personal MacBooks as part of their learning process.
