Beacon Academy has embarked on a unique journey of providing professional development opportunities for the teachers in Indonesia. With a clear mission and identity rooted in best educational practice and values, this initiative from Beacon has been named ‘Leaders for Learning (LFL)’ .
Leaders for Learning will ensure best practice and parity of esteem with its national and international school peers at a time when there is a great need for schools in the country to provide able skilled teachers in the classroom. LFL will provide support to the educators at all school levels and will provide an opportunity to ‘learn and unlearn’, which will enhance their teaching practices. With an objective to create motivated teachers who are learner-centric and work towards holistic development of the students, LFL aims to provide soft skills training for improved classroom instruction and personal development of teachers.
This initiative is in continuation to the commitment from Beacon Academy to invest in our teaching staff who are the mentors for the children of the future. We are proud to be able to share the resources and actively contribute to the Indonesian education system. In this endeavour we have prospective partnerships with organisations like Fieldwork Education, Association of National and Private Schools (ANPS) and Oxford AQA to offer training opportunities for the teachers in the country.
Schools are not built by ‘Bricks and Mortar’ but with good teachers
