In a recent professional development session at Junior School, the usual focus on curriculum took a backseat to something equally important: joy, connection, and well-being. The event was designed to remind teachers of the power of play and relaxation in fostering a positive school environment for students and staff.<\/p>

The session began with reading the thought-provoking children\u2019s book\u00a0What Do You Do with a Problem?<\/em>\u00a0by Kobi Yamada. The story, which centered on a child facing a persistent problem and discovering the courage to confront it, set a reflective and inspiring tone. The teachers reflected on how each problem can be a growth opportunity.<\/p>

Teachers then choose one activity to participate in from a variety of activities, each designed to bring joy, encourage teamwork, and reduce stress. The options included karaoke, dance, play, and mindfulness exercises.
