Proyek Riset Individu (IRP) Middle School tahun ini menjadi sebuah perayaan yang penuh warna atas kemandirian belajar siswa, pemikiran kritis, dan semangat sebagai warga dunia. IRP 2025 mengundang siswa kelas 6\u20138 untuk mengeksplorasi tantangan nyata di dunia melalui perspektif Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs) dari Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa.<\/span><\/p>

Perjalanan dimulai ketika para siswa memilih salah satu dari 17 SDGs, mulai dari aksi iklim hingga pendidikan berkualitas. Mereka kemudian dikelompokkan sesuai dengan tujuan yang dipilih, sehingga dapat berkolaborasi dengan teman-teman yang memiliki minat serupa, sambil tetap menempuh jalur penelitian masing-masing. Sebagai proyek lintas disiplin, IRP juga mengintegrasikan pembelajaran dari mata pelajaran Humaniora dan Pendidikan Pancasila, mendorong siswa untuk melihat isu global melalui lensa internasional sekaligus nasional.<\/span><\/p>

Setiap siswa terlibat dalam proses menyeluruh yang mencakup riset, refleksi, perancangan produk, hingga presentasi publik. Kerangka IRP menekankan keterampilan akademik dan keterampilan hidup penting: berpikir kritis, literasi riset, komunikasi, dan kreativitas. Semua ini terdokumentasi dalam jurnal proses, esai terstruktur, serta produk akhir atau prototipe yang dibuat siswa.<\/span><\/p>

Saat melihat pameran akhir, tampak beragam inovasi hasil karya siswa. Namun, yang lebih menonjol adalah kedewasaan dan keyakinan mereka saat menjelaskan hasil karyanya. IRP tidak hanya menjadi tantangan akademik, tetapi juga wadah bagi siswa untuk menyuarakan nilai-nilai yang mereka pegang serta menawarkan solusi yang bermakna.<\/span><\/p>

Pengalaman IRP 2025 menjadi pengingat betapa relevan dan menginspirasi pendidikan ketika siswa diberi ruang untuk menghubungkan pembelajaran mereka dengan tujuan nyata di dunia. This year\u2019s Middle School Individual Research Project (IRP) was a vibrant celebration of student agency, critical thinking, and global citizenship. The 2025 IRP invited students in Grades 6\u20138 to explore real-world challenges through the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) lens. Students began the journey by selecting one of the 17 SDGs, ranging from climate action to quality education and were then grouped according to their chosen goal. This allowed them to collaborate with peers who shared a common interest while still pursuing their own inquiry paths. As an interdisciplinary project, the IRP also integrates learning from Humanities and Pendidikan Pancasila subjects, encouraging students to examine global issues through both international and national lenses. Each student engaged in a comprehensive process that included research, reflection, product design, and public presentation. The IRP framework emphasised key academic and life skills: critical thinking, research literacy, communication, and creativity. These were captured through each student\u2019s process journal, structured essay, and final product or prototype. Walking through the final exhibition, one could see a diverse range of student-created innovations. What stood out even more was the maturity and conviction with which our students explained their work. The IRP provided not only an academic challenge but also a platform for students to voice their values and offer meaningful solutions. The IRP 2025 experience is a powerful reminder of how relevant and inspiring education can be when students are given the space to connect their learning to real-world purpose. This allowed them to collaborate with peers who shared a common interest while still pursuing their own inquiry paths. As an interdisciplinary project, the IRP also integrates learning from Humanities and Pendidikan Pancasila subjects, encouraging students to examine global issues through both international and national lenses. Each student engaged in a comprehensive process that included research, reflection, product design, and public presentation. The IRP framework emphasised key academic and life skills: critical thinking, research literacy, communication, and creativity. These were captured through each student\u2019s process journal, structured essay, and final product or prototype. Walking through the final exhibition, one could see a diverse range of student-created innovations. What stood out even more was the maturity and conviction with which our students explained their work. The IRP provided not only an academic challenge but also a platform for students to voice their values and offer meaningful solutions. The IRP 2025 experience is a powerful reminder of how relevant and inspiring education can be when students are given the space to connect their learning to real-world purpose.
