Beacon Academy Student Council
The Beacon Academy Student Council is a student-led organization that represents the voices of students. They are responsible for planning and organizing a variety of events and initiatives throughout the school year, such as fundraisers and community service projects. They also work to promote positive school culture and to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students.

Beacon Academy Junior School (JS) Student Council

The Beacon Academy JS Student Council consists of students from Year 1 to Year 5. Being a member of the JS Student Council is a great opportunity for students to develop their leadership and organizational skills. They learn how to work together as a team, how to plan and execute projects, and how to communicate effectively with others. They also have the opportunity to represent their peers and to make a real difference in their school community.
Here are some of the specific roles and responsibilities of the JS

Student Council:

  • Attend regular meetings and participate in discussions
  • Help to plan and organize school events and initiatives
  • Represent the student body to the school administration and faculty
  • Advocate for the needs and interests of Junior School students
  • Promote positive school culture and create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students

In addition to developing their leadership and organizational skills, JS Student Council members also learn important life skills such as problem-solving, public speaking, and teamwork. They also have the opportunity to meet new people, make friends, and build their self-confidence.

Beacon Academy Middle and Senior School (MSS) Student Council

The MSS Student Council consists of students from Year 6 to Year 12. In addition to the general roles and responsibilities of the Junior School Student Council, the MSS Student Council also has some more specific roles and responsibilities, such as:

  • Representing the student body to the school administration and faculty on academic and social issues
  • Advocating for the needs and interests of Middle and Senior School students
  • Providing input to the school
  • Organizing and leading school events
  • Working with the school administration to plan and implement school-wide initiatives

Being a member of the MSS Student Council is a great opportunity for students to develop their leadership and organizational skills, as well as their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. MSS Student Council members also learn how to work effectively with others from different backgrounds and perspectives.
