The Junior School recently embarked on an exciting “Week Without Walls” program, providing Year 1 to Year 5 students with a unique, immersive learning experience that extended beyond the familiar boundaries of their classrooms. This annual program is designed to deepen students’ connections with their community, nature, and each other while fostering independence, curiosity, and practical life skills.
Each year level participated in a series of hands-on activities that focused on independence, teamwork, and environmental responsibility.
For many students, Week Without Walls was a transformative experience. Teachers and parents have noticed how students returned with newfound confidence and independence, and even a deeper appreciation for the environment and their communities. The program encourages students to practice what they’ve learned in the classroom in real-life contexts, making it an effective bridge between academic learning and practical application.
The excitement of Week Without Walls continues to resonate in the classrooms as students eagerly share their stories and insights with peers and teachers.
This year’s Week Without Walls was a wonderful success, and we are already looking forward to planning another year of impactful, experience-driven learning adventures!
