The TOK Exhibition by IBDP students of Beacon Academy on 23 August 2024 was a testament to their intellectual curiosity and ability to engage with the real world meaningfully. Their carefully curated displays showcased their understanding of the interconnectedness between knowledge, perception, and the objects surrounding us.
The exhibition featured a diverse range of Knowledge Questions, each exploring a unique aspect of our relationship with objects. Some students delved into the philosophical implications of object ownership, while others examined the cultural significance of certain artefacts. The exhibition also showcased the power of objects to evoke emotions, memories, and even social change.
Throughout the exhibition, it was evident that our students had engaged intensely with their chosen Prompts. They conducted thorough research, considered multiple perspectives, and drew insightful conclusions. Their displays were not merely information collections but invitations to critical thinking and reflection.
The TOK Exhibition was valuable for our students, allowing them to demonstrate their learning and apply their knowledge to real-world contexts. It showcased their ability to engage with complex ideas, think critically, and communicate effectively. The skills developed through this exhibition will undoubtedly serve them well as they progress in their academic and personal journeys.
