Teachers Become Life-Savers: First Aid Training with Indonesian Red Cross

On Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, our dedicated teachers participated in an invaluable journey to enhance their life-saving skills through comprehensive first aid training led by the Indonesian Red Cross Team. In an intensive 8-hour course, our educators acquired crucial knowledge and hands-on experience in Basic Life Support (BLS), underscoring our commitment to student safety.

This rigorous training covered a range of life-saving techniques, including performing CPR with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), mastering the Heimlich maneuver, effective wound bandaging, and identifying symptoms of common medical emergencies. By the end of the course, our teachers not only became certified by the Indonesian Red Cross but also gained the confidence to handle various health crises with skill and efficiency.

The rationale behind this training is clear. Our school prides itself on being a safe haven for children, and our teachers are on the front lines of ensuring this safety every day. With teachers spending the majority of their day with students, it’s crucial that they are equipped to manage any unexpected injuries or emergencies that might arise.

Whether it’s a minor scrape from a fall or a more serious incident, having staff with up-to-date first aid skills ensures that our students receive prompt and effective care. This training not only enhances our teachers’ ability to respond to emergencies but also strengthens our school’s overall commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all.

We are proud of our teachers for their dedication to both education and student welfare, and we celebrate this significant step in our ongoing effort to safeguard our school community.
