IBDP Students Demonstrate “Knowledge in Action” at TOK Exhibition 2025

Beacon Academy’s IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) Year 1 students (Class of 2026) captivated the audience with their intellectual prowess at the recent Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Exhibition, held on April 25, 2025. The exhibition, centred on the compelling theme “Knowledge in Action: Exploring the Impact of Knowing”, showcased the students’ impressive ability to apply TOK concepts to analyse and understand the multifaceted ways in which knowledge shapes our world.

Throughout the exhibition, students presented a wide array of thought-provoking displays that explored the practical implications of knowledge across various disciplines and in diverse contexts. Visitors, including parents, teachers, and peers, were treated to a powerful demonstration of the students’ development as critical thinkers and inquirers. Feedback from faculty members highlighted the significant growth in the students’ understanding of complex knowledge issues, noting their capacity to articulate nuanced perspectives and support their arguments with evidence.

The success of the TOK Exhibition is a direct reflection of the students’ hard work, dedication, and collaborative spirit. Observers noted the students’ engagement throughout the event, underscoring their ability to effectively communicate their insights and connect with the audience. The students’ creativity and thoughtfulness were particularly praised for bringing the theme “Knowledge in Action” to life, with many commenting on the depth of planning and preparation evident in each presentation.

The exhibition’s success not only celebrates the achievements of the current IBDP cohort but also sets a high standard for future TOK endeavours, demonstrating the programme’s effectiveness in preparing students for the intellectual challenges of the Diploma Programme and beyond.
