The Declamation event for Years 4 and 5 proved to be a resounding success, showcasing the public speaking talents of our students. The journey began with all students participating in the first round, where they presented excerpts from famous speeches. Through this process, they not only honed their speaking and listening skills but also received valuable feedback from their peers. Using a comprehensive rubric, and one more round narrowed the field, leading to a group of confident finalists who took the stage in front of their peers, parents, and teachers. Their diligent practice was evident as they delivered their speeches with strong expressions and gestures. While all the finalists performed exceptionally, three students emerged as the top winners. Every participant, however, deserves immense credit for their hard work and courage in making it to the final round, demonstrating a great spirit of determination and achievement.
