Ramadan Iftar 2025: A Celebration of Generosity

As we embrace the sacred month of Ramadan, our school community gathered for a memorable Iftar celebration on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Middle and Senior School (MSS) Cafeteria. The event fostered a spirit of unity, generosity, and multicultural harmony, reflecting the values of tolerance and togetherness that define the Beacon Family. Parents, teachers, students, staff, and alumni came together in a joyful and meaningful celebration.

The program commenced with a heartfelt speech by Mr. Mario Himawan, our Middle School Coordinator, followed by inspiring student performances and a recitation from the Al-Qur’an by Middle School students. A symbolic donation ceremony took place, where school representatives and students from Junior to Senior School presented contributions to our esteemed recipients. This touching moment was further enriched by a captivating musical performance by Middle and Senior School students, adding to the evening’s festive atmosphere.

A speech by the preacher preceded the call to prayer (Azan), marking the breaking of the fast together. The evening also featured a delightful potluck and generous Sembako (basic food necessities) donations, demonstrating the incredible support from our parents, students, and teachers.

The Sembako donations, contributed by parents across all school levels—from Preschool to Senior School—were thoughtfully packaged with the help of the organizing committee. These donations, along with the school’s annual aid packages, were distributed among our dedicated support staff, including cleaners, security personnel, gardeners, building maintenance staff, and administrative teams.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our parents, students, and staff for their kindness, participation, and unwavering support in making this event a success. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the spirit of generosity and community at our Ramadan Iftar celebration.
