In celebration of World Peace Day which took place on September 20, the Preschool hosted a special
assembly where children were introduced to the different symbols of peace, fostering a deeper
understanding of unity and harmony. Each class had the opportunity to perform, adding their unique
touch to the event through songs, dances, and simple messages of love and kindness.
A highlight of the assembly was when the children lit their LED candles while singing “Light a Candle
That Shines All Away Around the World.” The warm glow of the candles created a peaceful and
serene atmosphere, symbolizing the light that each child can bring to the world.
As part of the celebration, each class designed their own slogan for peace, encouraging creativity
and reflection on what peace means to them. The children also engaged in discussions about ways
to make the world a better, more peaceful place to live in. Through these activities, the young
students learned valuable lessons about compassion, cooperation, and the importance of living in
harmony with others.
The World Peace Day assembly was a beautiful and inspiring reminder of how even the youngest
members of society can contribute to a brighter, more peaceful future.
